A challenge to the people of Wilts and Glos
The Mount Everest Challenge is to climb a 29ft pole 1000 times in 24 hours, in relay (the height of Mount Everest!).
We will be using two "totem poles" which have hand/footholds similar to a climbing wall. One is for an "endurance team" of 10 young people, the other for the "public challenge", which is open to individuals and teams from Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
The endurance team of 10 young people will attempt this in a continuous relay, led by Glenn Bridges (19), co-founder of Inner Flame. They have an average age of 18, with the youngest being just 12 (Jamie is pictured – don’t worry, you don’t have to do this!). Several of them have (or had, until recently!) a fear of heights, and none are regular climbers. One did his very first climb at the training session on 31st May!
Glenn and the team have issued a challenge to the people of Wiltshire and Gloucestershire, to see who can reach the peak first! Ten young people, or up to 200 individuals, families and teams from companies, gyms, and sports clubs around the area?
Come and join in. Call us now to register.
